Founder Meera Patel moved to Houston with a masala dabba and a notebook of her mother’s recipes, determined to cook the food she missed with what the local grocery store had on its shelves.

Twelve recipes, tested twice

Each recipe is cooked at home at least twice, on a regular stove, before it is published. If a step needs a special tool, we say so; if it does not, we say that too.
